Yoeleo Bikes Review! The Yoeleo G21 Gravel Bike for 2022
Geometry / Features / Specs / Weight / Price /
Have you ever heard of Yoeleo bikes? Are you wondering if they’re any good? Welcome to our Yoeleo G21 gravel bike review! Here we’ll share our toughts about the Yoeleo brand and their new carbon gravel bike frameset for 2022.
Yoeleo introduced the G21 gravel bike in early 2022 – an all-road adventure rig with some interesting characteristics, purposely designed to accommodate the needs of bikepackers and long-distance gravel adventures.
About Yoeleo
Yoeleo is a Chinese brand born in 2011 that has managed to stand out from the crowd of cheap bike manufacturers.
They started by developing road bike wheels and framesets, recently managing to sponsor professional UCI cycling teams in world-class international competitions.
Yoeleo has released two carbon gravel bikes previously, the G2 and G1. The G21 model for 2022 is a big upgrade, much more versatile than its predecessor, with a superior clearance and carrying capacity.

The Yoeleo G21 Gravel Bike is a very interesting rig. Built with long-distance bikepacking in mind, it comes with plenty mounts for racks, cages, mudguards, and bottles and a tire clearance of up to 2.1″, enromous for a carbon gravel bike.
With a 71.6- degree headtube angle, 43.3cm chainstay, 7.8cm bottom bracket drop, and a 109cm wheelbase (on a size 52), the G21 geometry is more relaxed than an endurance road bike, but still aggressive enough to allow the speed-lovers the right dose of fun.
The 980 grams carbon frame, combined with a 420-gram fork and 204-gram seat post, is quite light for a bikepacking gravel bike.
Yoeleo G21 Frameset Materials
The Yoeleo G21 carbon frame is built with EPS with latex technology. This is one of the latest technologies in carbon frame manufacturing.
The EPS process allows manufacturers to make carbon frames in one piece and build the frame lighter and stronger.
This manufacturing technique increases the stiffness and strength of the frame, while at the same time reducing the overall weight by eliminating unnecessary joint material. Higher compaction will make the frame more rigid, giving the cyclist better control of the ride and increasing energy efficiency thanks to the lateral flex.
The EPS process also eliminates small imperfections that are commonly found on frames created with traditional production methods. These imperfections may sometimes be the cause of structural failure, which is the riskiest thing that can happen to a rider.
Contrary of many the most popular gravel bikes, the tubes are not profiled in an aero-foiled shape.
Yoeleo decided to make the tubing in an almost round shape, allegedly for a better stiffness-to-weight ratio. The tubes can still accommodate all sorts of bikepacking bags without problems
Even though it might not be the lightest carbon gravel frame out there, with a weight of less than 1kg frame, and all those mounts, it really is pretty lightweight for such an adventure-ready gravel bike.
Yoeleo G21 Components and Compatibility
Yoeleo doesn’t yet offer a complete build of the G21 gravel bike. The package available for 2022 consists of:
- Frame
- Fork
- Stem
- Handlebars
- Seatpost
Provided accessories are stem spacers and front and rear axles. Both wheels are locked using a standard tru-axle mechanism, locked and unlocked using a standard Allen key.
Handlebars
Like any other Yoeleo frameset product, G21 has a one-piece stem-handlebar combination. The H21 is an integrated handlebar specific for gravel bikes.
Built for an internal cable setup, it keeps all the connections protected and invisible from the outside by hiding the cable inside the carbon fiber.
An external cable setup is however possible thanks to the cable-exit holes at the middle bottom of the handlebar. The H21 handlebar also comes with a cycling computer mount underside the bar.
The bars have a 15-degree sweep for a more upright position and easier control on the rough surfaces. The stem is offered in various lengths: 90, 100, 110, 120mm in combination with 400, 420, and 440mm handlebars.
Seat Post
The other component the G21 comes equipped with is the carbon seat post. This is D-shaped for more compliance and weighs about 200 grams.
Tire Clearance
Maybe the most interesting characteristic of this carbon frame by Yoeleo is the humongous tire clearance it provides – up to 700X53mm or 650BX2.1”.
This is very unusual for a gravel bike, especially a carbon one. You can seamlessly fit one of the best tires for touring and still have room for mudguards or even mud clearance for an off-road adventure in the rainy season.
Big tires allow you to use this bike on challenging rocky or sandy trails, while also adding more comfort for the rider by absorbing the impacts on the road surface.
Bikepacking Mounts
Yoeleo really designed the G21 with bikepacking and adventure cycle touring in mind. The frame has tons of braze-ons for water bottles, fork cages or front rack, rear panniers, and mudguards on both front and rear sides.
The frame diamond is big enough to fit a large frame pack without sacrificing the two-bottle carrying capacity. All the mounts can be protected with a bolt cover when not used, so to avoid dirt and wear.
The internal cable routing gives the G21 a neat front side, so the rider can mount a handlebar pack without obstacles.
Bringing your essential equipment – camping gear, spare shoes, camera, sleeping bag, or emergency tools – will be a piece of cake.
Wrap Up
At the end of the day, the G21 by Yoeleo is a great frame-set deal for adventure gravel-riding. The huge tire clearance for the category, its aggressive geometry, and tons of mounting points, make it a great choice for bikepackers who want to venture long-distance on a carbon bike.
To sum up, the Yoeleo G21 is a great deal for those who want to build a gravel adventure bike customized to their needs on a solid and versatile frameset.
FAQs about Yoeleo
Are Yoeleo Bikes Safe?
Yoeleo is highly attentive about the safety and quality control of its products. G21 frame has passed several tests for durability and safety. As you can see, they uploaded the video on their website. They are also the only Chinese manufacturer that did the same test. In addition, their quality control of the product is exceptional so that customers would not have any concerns when buying Yoeleo bikes for themselves or their loved ones.
